Cruise Ship of the Month: November 2013 (Pacific Jewel)

Pacific Jewel dazzles in this month's top spot as
November's Cruise Ship of the Month.
With 2014 drawing closer to us, we have only 2 more cruise ships that will sail in the top spot of cruise ship of the month and one of them is before us: Pacific Jewel from P and O Cruises Australia. She is one cool lady; not just because she sails to some of the coolest ports in the world, but because she's full of history! Does anyone remember when she was first issued into service and what her original name was? The year was 1989 and she hit the high seas as the original Crown Princess. Since, she has sailed for AIDA Cruises, Ocean Village and for a short time an Australian cruise line with German clientele at the forefront called A'Rosa Cruises (no longer in operation).

I love seeing older ships transform over the years and sail with contemporary vessels as if they were the new ships on the yard - it's awesome to witness, wouldn't you agree? Pacific Jewel begins majority of her high seas adventures (some may call it a holiday) from Australia - Brisbane or Sydney - and calls to ports all over the South Pacific; Fiji, New Zealand and Australia to name a few.

She's truly a cool ship and with a carrying capacity of only 1,950 passengers, she's JUST the right size for those to try staying away from the mega ships afloat. Equipped with many dining options, a big screen by the pool, an outdoor circus to include a trapeze arena and let's not forget the zip-line featured onboard! No matter what your eager cruising heart desires, Pacific Jewel is sure to make it happy! Be sure to sail over to her very own webpage to all she has to offer in greater detail! Your ships await and next time you're "down under" it may just be Pacific Jewel servin' you a few shrimps on the barbie! Keep cruising and grooving, y'all!
